Curt is the President of Technology and Society,
Incorporated, an Oregon "C" corporation encompassing his work as a
performer, speaker, writer, and Excel consultant.
June 1996 - Present
ComedySportz, Portland, OR
Player, Referee, Sound, and Fight Choreographer
Curt has appeared in over 1,000 shows with
ComedySportz Portland, including many shows and teambuilding workshops
for clients including Intel, IBM, Tektronix, and NIke. In addition to
those shows, he has appeared in numerous improvised musical comedies,
long-form improvised shows, and four 50-minute improvised Shakespeare
plays promoting the Burgerville restaurant chain's milkshakes. Curt also
choreographed the sword fighting sequences for the Burgerville shows.

Director of Sales and Marketing
Curt maintained Digital Gateway Systems' ties with
domestic clients, including various government agencies and
government-related trade organizations. Curt also provided customer and
sales support as required.

Member of the Technical Staff
During his time with MITRE, Curt moved from an
administrative position to a technical staff position. While with the
Economic Analysis Center, Curt was part of an in-house team developing
defense trade analysis methodologies to determine the economic impact of
military technology transfers. Prior to his tenure with the Economic
Analysis Center, Curt served as a Technical Associate in the Workstation
Systems Engineering Center (WSEC). His responsibilities with the WSEC
included object-oriented database design and work for the Open Source
Processing Research Initiative, an internally-funded project to enhance
information retrieval by applying natural language processing
techniques.

Economics Intern
In the summer between his junior and senior years
of college, Curt served as an economics intern at the Calgary consulate.
During his term, he wrote seven reports on topics ranging from potential
energy exports to the effects of acid rain.
Education
Curt received his B.A. with Honors in Political
Science from Syracuse University in May 1990. He went on to complete 33
hours of graduate coursework in information systems, computer science,
operations research, and international business at George Mason
University from 1991-1994.
